Welcome to Route 81, based in The Hub!

The Route 81 youth project offers a wide range of activities and development opportunities for young people aged 11 to 18 years in Hermitage Academy catchment area.

Route 81 operates from a dedicated facility called The Hub, sited in the Centre 81 building in the lovely Scottish village of Garelochhead. We are a community-based project - encouraging the local community to participate in both the running of the youth project and the decision-making.

Hub opening times:   Wednesdays 7 - 9pm & Fridays 7 - 10.30pm (S1 leave @ 9pm)

Do explore the site to find out more about activities and and our exciting plans for the future.  And if there is any information that you can't find, please feel free to call the office or send an e mail.

 Route 81 Awards

8th June 2018

Route 81 Awards 2018 took place last night at Centre 81. 55 young people received Volunteering Awards after committing 3500 hours to Route 81 and their community over the past 12 months. The celebration was attended by over 100 people and was hosted by these three wonderful youth workers:Oly, Bobbie and Kirsty who were phenomenal! Our other wonderful Youth Worker Iona ensured we got to experience two fantastic films about Route 81 she created whilst she managed all of the media and sound for the Awards on the night! The award ceremony was complimented by Robbie and his performance of ‘a million dreams’ , Teen yogas musical movement performance and their first ever gig ‘spectacles’ who performed a red hot chilli peppers song. A special Lifetime Award was also presented to our longest serving director Lesley Fitton. The ceremony was an inspiring celebration of our young people and young adults within our community! Thankyou to everyone who supports us and attended last night and a special thankyou to all of our amazing young volunteers ! It was a memorable evening
